The Art Loeb Trail Project is an effort to try to give back to the outdoors community that has given me so much by providing a detailed resource for one of my favorite trails, the Art Loeb. Pulled from my own experience, photos, notes, research and waypoints collected over the last several decades and organized in one place. The rugged beauty, constantly changing landscape and dynamic weather come together on the Art Loeb Trail to offer a challenging and unique experience for both novices as well as seasoned hikers. There are many useful resources and guides specific to the Art Loeb trail, and I hope this one adds to that legacy of knowledge and perhaps one day becomes the go to guide for the Art Loeb Trail.
The three primary features are the Trail Guide, Planning Guide and Live Weather from points across the trail all in one place. The embedded map on the website allows you to enable location on your device to see your position on the map, in addition you can download the complete GPX file with all waypoints for offline navigation using your favorite app.
The Art Loeb Trail Project is a free resource and exists solely for the enjoyment and benefit of the people and in an effort to preserve, protect and cherish this unique trail for future generations. Dedicated to Arthur J. Loeb, who will always be remembered as a man who “deeply loved these mountains.”
